Handicaps

Winterwood maintains a handicap for all members through the SNGA and the Golf Handicap & Information Network (GHIN). All Winterwood tournament scores are posted by the Handicap Director, unless otherwise stated. Handicaps are managed by the World Handicap System. As such, a member's handicap is updated following the posting of each round.

Rounds played outside the Club should be posted as well. Members can turn their scorecards in at the Boulder City Golf Course or post them themselves on the GHIN website. The website can be accessed from home, a mobile device, or on the Club's computer at the Boulder City Golf Course.

It is paramount that all members post the score of all rounds played outside the club (format permitting - no posting is required for formats such as a Scramble, Alternate Shot, etc.). The Handicap Committee may apply a Penalty Score under certain conditions. The following is excerpted from the Rules of Handicapping. Any score that falls under the third bullet outlined below, will be posted by the Handicap Committee as an even par 72.
