Tournaments

Winterwood hosts approximately 25 tournaments per year (shotgun start). Each tournament is flighted (flights based on handicap and number of players) The format is stroke play and prizes are awarded for lowest gross and net scores. All USGA rules apply and members are encouraged to read the Rules of Golf and familiarize themselves with the rules of play as well as course etiquette. In order to ensure an enjoyable round for all members, each group is expected to complete its round in 4.5 hours. Slow play will not be tolerated. Greens fees for each tournament are paid to the host course the day of the tournament. A $10 tournament fee is paid to the Club and is used as the prize fund. Prizes are awarded as gift cards redeemable at the host course pro shop.

Members can sign up for each tournament at the Boulder City Golf Course (sign up sheet is on the Winterwood bulletin board) or by calling the tournament number 702-378-9775 (voicemail only, please do not text to this number). The message is updated after each tournament so just leave your information and you will be signed up for the next tournament. The sign up deadline is the Wednesday prior to the day of play.

The following rules will be strictly enforced:
